The Skilled Practitioner

The goal of a skilled practitioner is to prescribe the lowest level of orthotic support needed to reduce tissue strain. A lateral placed Subtjt axis requires less effort to supinate the foot and requires less orthotic support compared to higher forces that require increased orthotic support. This force is measured by the Keystone Device.

The Keystone

The Keystone measures the force needed to supinate the foot. Knowing this measurementallows the practitioner to objectively prescribe the minimum level of orthotic support needed to reduce patient symptoms.  This makes for a happier patient –improving comfort, increases shoe fit options – improving compliance.
