Ready-to-Wear Orthotic

Model P for Pain

Model P is made from NeuroFlex™, Interpod's own thin, flexible, lightweight material, developed over 27 years of clinical practice.

Model P is a podiatrist designed, ready-to-wear orthotic made from NeuroFlex. It is thin and lightweight, so it fits comfortably in your preferred footwear. It uses the same four design features found in custom orthotics that typically cost $500–$1,000, and is designed to reduce biomechanical strain.

    the principle

Pain isn't about arch shape. It's about motion — and the support that controls it.

Foot issues aren’t about arch shape — they’re about excessive strain. Orthotic support always involves a trade-off: more support eases strain but feels firmer and fits fewer shoes. Less support feels more comfortable and fits more shoes, but is less likely to reduce strain. Model P sits in the sweet spot most people want — enough support to ease strain reducing painful symptoms, while remaining comfortable and fitting easily into most shoes.

Flat or high-arched feet — the problem is the same. So is the solution.

    • THE BALANCE PEOPLE WANT

Enough support to relieve pain, with the comfort and fit most people prefer — ready to wear, no trial required.

    • CUSTOM GRADE FEATURES

Four design features found in custom orthotics - two measured at university.

    • SHANK INDEPEDENT

NeuroFlex bridges the gap between the heel and forefoot -providing consistent support across all shoe styles

    HOW MODEL P WORKS

The support most people are looking for. Ready to wear.

Every orthotic has to balance two things that pull in opposite directions. More support eases more pain — but it feels firmer and fits fewer shoes. More comfort means more shoe options — but less relief. There’s no single “best.” Just the balance that’s right for you. Model P is built at the point most people are looking for — ready to wear, straight out of the box.

    • Support verses Comfort

The support /comfort trade-off is real. More support means more pain relief — but a firmer feel and fewer shoes it fits. More comfort means more shoe options — but less relief. Model P is built at the balance most people are looking for: enough support to resolve the pain that brings them to an orthotic, with the comfort and fit the majority prefer.
No trial, no decisions. Put it in your shoe, wear it, and let it work. For most people, it’s simply right.

    • Want it tailored to you?

Some people need more support for stubborn pain. Others prefer more comfort and shoe flexibility. Model P+ lets you trial three points on that scale at home, then keep the one that feels right. It’s the personalised version of Model P.
A practitioner recommends a specific level, Model P+ delivers like that. Your preferred arch support, same four design features — fitted to you.

    Customer Reviews

    Overall rating: 4.6 / 5 from 99 reviews.

I think it’s the right shape for me - I just use the hard one. I find it really helpful especially for sport. It would be helpful if it had some way of sticking in your shoe so it was always in the right position. I find it moves forward and I have to stop and resit it

    Model P for Pain

Been excellent. Pressure corn gone. Sciatica much better and plantar fasciitis gone. I would not have believed how much of an improvement they have made and now recommend to others. Thanking you. Excellent product

    Model P for Pain

I have found these inserts to be very comfortable and helped with my foot pain. Easy to insert and quick postage and Interpod are very easy to deal with.

    Model P for Pain

Fits perfectly all of my walking shoes. Comfortable to walk on. Since using these my foot pain has disappeared

    Model P for Pain

They really made a difference to my shoes. I have found since using the insoles, I have a lot less foot pain.

    Model P for Pain

I don’t think it is the correct shape for my foot arch, so has not been able to allieviate my pain.

    Model P for Pain

Awesome inserts, way cheaper and does the job. Thank you

    Model P for Pain

Put the model P's in my work boots recently, as for over 6 months now my feet have been killing me and I have tried all manner of inserts and boots with little luck. They were pretty good but a little hard on the foot at first. I used the plastic insert with foam liner and then put the factory work boot insole over the top. Difference was noticeable and pain has much improved, still slightly there but much better. These have been the most successful insoles/inserts I have used so far.

    Model P for Pain

These have help my foot pain a lot. Really good inserts. Work for me anyway

    Model P for Pain

What an amazing product and dedicated team. I’ve used custom made orthotics for years. These are as good if not better. They a supportive, but comfortable. Unlike almost everything else on the market - that are flexible and squishy under arch - these actually support like they are meant to. The team also worked hard to help me work out what was the most appropriate fit for me. Bravo

    Model P for Pain

    Prompt delivery and good comfort

    Model P for Pain

I found these insoles really quite suitable. The pain in my right foot from PF has certainly subsided.

    Model P for Pain

Comfortable, have removed inner sole though as difficult getting shoes on with both

    Model P for Pain

    Great orthotic insert

    Model P for Pain

Arrived very quickly. The insoles are very comfortable and have really helped reduce the pain I experience when walking.

    Model P for Pain

I wear these on operational duty and my plantar fasciitis has gone

    Model P for Pain

Store owner replied: We are happy the plantarfasciitis has gone. What extra was needed to get a score of 5?

I find the narrowness of the orthotic uncomfortable even with the insoles

    Model P for Pain

Comfortable out of the box Easy sizing

    Model P for Pain

Yeah solid. Can wear my dress shoes without calf pain. Will drop down a couple levels for next buy. Not so hard on foot.

    Model P for Pain

We have been looking a long time for suitable insoles Thank you

    Model P for Pain

Store owner replied: Your're welcome, seems like you're experienced with orthotics- what was wrong with previous insoles?

Fits perfectly in my shoes and gives my feet contoured firm but comfortable support they need.

    Model P for Pain

I ordered the wrong size but I have returned for the next size up. Great service, very helpful

    Model P for Pain

Took a long time to arrive. I thought I had ordered some from a British company before.

    Model P for Pain

Great product, and the team were really helpful when I needed to change the size. A much better replacement for my old insoles.

    Model P for Pain

They are not comfortable at all. They hurt.

Comfortable insoles that help with foot pain caused by overpronation.

    Model P for Pain

Great fit and almost to the same as my custom made orthopaedic insoles to resolve alignment issues

    Model P for Pain

Still trying to see if I like them

    Model P for Pain

I have trouble accepting that these inserts have any positive effect on my plantar issues. I think they are dreadful.

    Model P for Pain

Great product - does the job nicely

    Model P for Pain

    Frequently asked questions

What support level is Model P?

Model P is built at the support most people are looking for — the balance of relief and comfort the majority are happy with, ready to wear. There's no level to choose at checkout; you simply select your size. If you'd like to confirm it's right for you — or you'd prefer more support for stubborn pain, or more comfort and shoe flexibility — Model P+ lets you trial three levels at home and keep your own.

How is Model P different from Model P+?

Think of it like clothing. Model P ($85) is ready to wear — the support most people are looking for, straight out of the box. Model P+ ($135) is made to measure — the Modular lets you trial three points on the support–comfort scale at home, then your matching Model P+ ships free in the level that's right for you. If the standard support suits you, you'll confirm it; if you'd prefer more relief or more comfort, Model P+ is how you dial it in — with day-one relief from the Modular while you decide.

    What is NeuroFlex™?

NeuroFlex is the material every Interpod orthotic is made from — a material we invented and created specially for orthotic use. It's firm but flexible, extremely durable, lightweight, and resists moisture and odours. That durability is why Model P comes with a 5-year warranty.

    What does "shank independent" mean?

Most prefabricated orthotics rely on the shoe's shank (the rigid section under the arch) to hold them up; if the shoe doesn't have a firm shank, the orthotic squashes flat. Model P is shank independent — its arch bridges between your heel and forefoot, floats above the shoe floor, and springs under load instead of collapsing. That means consistent support in every shoe type — the same design principle behind $500–$1,000 custom orthotics.

Which top cover does it come with?

Model P ships with the full-length Thin cover — light padding for easy fit, a slim profile that suits dress shoes, work shoes, and everyday footwear. It's removable and self-adhesive, so you can replace it at any time without replacing the NeuroFlex shell.

Can I reorder the same Model P later?

Yes — you can reorder Model P at $85 anytime. If you've found a different level through Model P+, you can reorder in that level at $85 too. Many customers buy a second pair for a different pair of shoes.

How long does the Model P last?

5 years on the shell. NeuroFlex is engineered to last — unlike EVA, which compresses over time, it maintains its biomechanical properties for years of daily wear. The Thin top cover wears faster (12–18 months under daily wear) and can be replaced without replacing the shell.

    What's the 90-day guarantee?

If Model P doesn't work for you for any reason, return it within 90 days for a full refund. No risk, no hassle.

Not sure which support level? Start with Model P+

Trial all three support levels at home. Your matching permanent Model P ships automatically. 90-day full refund guarantee.
