    the principle

Pain isn't about arch shape. It's about motion — and the support that controls it.

Foot issues aren’t about arch shape — they’re about excessive strain. Orthotic support always involves a trade-off: more support eases strain but feels firmer and fits fewer shoes. Less support feels more comfortable and fits more shoes, but is less likely to reduce strain. Model P sits in the sweet spot most people want — enough support to ease strain reducing painful symptoms, while remaining comfortable and fitting easily into most shoes.

Flat or high-arched feet — the problem is the same. So is the solution.

    • THE BALANCE PEOPLE WANT

Enough support to relieve pain, with the comfort and fit most people prefer — ready to wear, no trial required.

    • CUSTOM GRADE FEATURES

The same four research-backed design features found in custom orthotics

    • SHANK INDEPEDENT

NeuroFlex bridges the gap between the heel and forefoot -providing consistent support across all shoe styles

    HOW MODEL P WORKS

The support most people are looking for. Ready to wear.

Every orthotic has to balance two things that pull in opposite directions. More support eases more pain — but it feels firmer and fits fewer shoes. More comfort means more shoe options — but less relief. There’s no single “best.” Just the balance that’s right for you. Model P is built at the point most people are looking for — ready to wear, straight out of the box.

    • Support verses Comfort

The support /comfort trade-off is real. More support means more pain relief — but a firmer feel and fewer shoes it fits. More comfort means more shoe options — but less relief. Model P is built at the balance most people are looking for: enough support to resolve the pain that brings them to an orthotic, with the comfort and fit the majority prefer.
No trial, no decisions. Put it in your shoe, wear it, and let it work. For most people, it’s simply right.

    • Want it tailored to you?

Some people need more support for stubborn pain. Others prefer more comfort and shoe flexibility. Model P+ lets you trial three points on that scale at home, then keep the one that feels right. It’s the personalised version of Model P.
A practitioner recommends a specific level, Model P+ delivers like that. Your preferred arch support, same four design features, same research — fitted to you.

Four design features. Normally only found in custom orthotics.

Model P, the Pain Orthotic, uses the same biomechanical features found in Australia’s leading clinical orthotics. These aren’t features added to an insole — they are the difference between an insole and a real orthotic.

    Frequently asked questions

What support level is Model P?

Model P is built at the support most people are looking for — the balance of relief and comfort the majority are happy with, ready to wear. There's no level to choose at checkout; you simply select your size. If you'd like to confirm it's right for you — or you'd prefer more support for stubborn pain, or more comfort and shoe flexibility — Model P+ lets you trial three levels at home and keep your own.

How is Model P different from Model P+?

Think of it like clothing. Model P ($85) is ready to wear — the support most people are looking for, straight out of the box. Model P+ ($135) is made to measure — the Modular lets you trial three points on the support–comfort scale at home, then your matching Model P+ ships free in the level that's right for you. If the standard support suits you, you'll confirm it; if you'd prefer more relief or more comfort, Model P+ is how you dial it in — with day-one relief from the Modular while you decide.

    What is NeuroFlex™?

NeuroFlex is the material every Interpod orthotic is made from — a material we invented and created specially for orthotic use. It's firm but flexible, extremely durable, lightweight, and resists moisture and odours. That durability is why Model P comes with a 5-year warranty.

    What does "shank independent" mean?

Most prefabricated orthotics rely on the shoe's shank (the rigid section under the arch) to hold them up; if the shoe doesn't have a firm shank, the orthotic squashes flat. Model P is shank independent — its arch bridges between your heel and forefoot, floats above the shoe floor, and springs under load instead of collapsing. That means consistent support in every shoe type — the same design principle behind $500–$1,000 custom orthotics.

Which top cover does it come with?

Model P ships with the full-length Thin cover — light padding for easy fit, a slim profile that suits dress shoes, work shoes, and everyday footwear. It's removable and self-adhesive, so you can replace it at any time without replacing the NeuroFlex shell.

Can I reorder the same Model P later?

Yes — you can reorder Model P at $85 anytime. If you've found a different level through Model P+, you can reorder in that level at $85 too. Many customers buy a second pair for a different pair of shoes.

How long does the Model P last?

5 years on the shell. NeuroFlex is engineered to last — unlike EVA, which compresses over time, it maintains its biomechanical properties for years of daily wear. The Thin top cover wears faster (12–18 months under daily wear) and can be replaced without replacing the shell.

    What's the 90-day guarantee?

If Model P doesn't work for you for any reason, return it within 90 days for a full refund. No risk, no hassle.
