    The Principle

Pain comes from force, not foot shape.

As you move, your foot pronates and supinates — and the strain of that motion is what overloads tissues and causes pain. Support reduces that strain. Model S gives a lighter level of it than Model P — easing the same conditions in a slim, flexible, shank-independent shell built for active feet.

Lighter support for movement — Model P for more effective relief.

    • TREATS PAIN, LIGHTER SUPPORT

Resists pronation strain to ease foot, leg and back pain — at a lighter level than Model P, in a shell built for movement.

    • SHANK INDEPENDENT

The arch bridges between heel and forefoot and springs under load — so your support holds in any shoe, the same design principle as Model P.

    • SLIM, LIGHT FLEXIBLE

At just 3 mm, it flexes with your foot and fits almost any athletic shoe — including tight ones like cycling and golf.

    How Model S works

Model P's approach. Tuned lighter, for sport.

Model S resists the excess pronation strain that overloads the muscles, tendons and ligaments of your feet and legs — easing pain — then flexes with your foot to support a cleaner push-off. Lighter support than Model P, in a shank-independent shell slim enough to disappear into your shoe.

    Frequently asked questions

    Does Model S treat pain?

Yes — Model S treats the same foot, leg and back conditions as Model P, with lighter support. It resists the pronation strain that overloads tissues and causes pain, in a slim, flexible shell. It's effective for milder cases and for staying active; for more stubborn or severe pain, Model P gives stronger support.

What sports suit the Model S?

Model S is designed for multi-directional, high-impact activities — walking, running, and jumping sports like football and hockey. It gives lighter, flexible support with a low-profile arch, ideal for active people who want relief or a performance edge. Its slim shell fits almost all footwear, including tight shoes for golf and cycling.

How does Model S compare to Model P and Model C?

Model S treats the same conditions as Model P (Pain), but with lighter support in a slimmer, more flexible shell — so it's effective for milder cases and easier to fit. Model C (Comfort) is a cushioning insole, not a biomechanical orthotic. Model S sits between them: real biomechanical support, tuned lighter than Model P.

    What does "shank independent" mean?

Most prefabricated orthotics rely on the shoe's shank to hold them up; if the shoe doesn't have a firm shank, they squash flat. Model S is shank independent — its arch bridges between heel and forefoot, floats above the shoe floor, and springs under load instead of collapsing. That means consistent support in every shoe type, the same design principle as Model P.

    What is NeuroFlex™?

NeuroFlex™ is Interpod's own material — a blend of polypropylene and carbon fibre. At 3 mm it's firm but highly flexible: it resists pronation strain to ease pain, then flexes with the foot to support supination. It's lightweight, durable, and impervious to moisture and odours, which is why Model S carries a 5-year warranty.

How do I fit Model S, and what's the guarantee?

Place it (without the cover) on top of or under your existing shoe liner at the rear of the shoe, or remove the liner and place it at the back. For a fixed fit, peel the self-adhesive cover, press the orthotic onto it, then insert. The NeuroFlex shell is guaranteed five years (kept out of sunlight and clear of dirt/sand); the EVA cover lasts a minimum of 30 days and is replaceable. And if Model S doesn't work for you, return it within 90 days for a full refund.
